Hyundai buyers don't want Sirius radio because of Stern.
Edited on Fri May-13-05 05:33 PM by amerikat
This has got to a setup by the fundies. Unprompted write-ins?
Nobody compared XM with Sirius? Nobody chose a provider based on what they wanted to hear? But instead they based thier choice on programing that they can change the channel on? No way.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/AUTOS/05/13/hyundai_stern/index.html

Hyundai recently surveyed 300 to 400 customers as it was deciding whether to choose XM (down $0.10 to $28.14, Research) or Sirius Satellite Radio in as an option for its vehicles. Hyundai ultimately decided to go with XM.

The automaker will roll out a fall program that offers 90 days of free satellite radio programming with its new models, starting with the Santa Fe SUV, and the Sonata and Azera sedans, according to Edmunds.

John Krafcik, Hyundai vice president of product development and strategic planning, told Inside Line that executives were stunned by the number of "unprompted write-ins" on the survey that said customers were "not comfortable with programming from Stern."

5. I Don't listen to him either.
My point is that these people didn't choose a station based on what they wanted to listen too. They had a write in campaign against Sirius.

7. I think it is funny
That the reason is not for a convicted white collar criminal (Martha Stewart) or a 24 hour gay chat, news, entertainment channel (out-q) or a MENS adult discussion channel (MAXIM) or for accussed rapist playing sports (sirius has NBA) but for HOWARD STERN they say no?

Didn't they get their script protesting all of these things? Morons.

6. Ah, that makes sense.
Ah, that makes sense. They don't like the fact that Sirius carries a "shock jock" named Howard Stern so, instead, they opt to go with XM Radio, which carry Opie and Anthony.

Did these protesters even bother to do some research? If they want to complain about something, they should at least be consistant.

Glad we cleared that up. *g*

8. Makes sense to me
Hyundai's are a pile of junk! Only someone with a mind of mush would want to drive them anyway. If Hyundai were smart, they would just channel Fox and Limbaugh and save themselves some more dollars, like the dollars they have already saved on quality!

Hyundai is the Wal Mart of foreign cars (GM with the Humvee is the American WalMart of cars)--Sick, arrogant, and cheap.
