LTTE I wish I had sent..... (pre-war)
I just found this in my files. While I had written several congress people about rushing to war -- I was more hesitant to write to our local newspaper (Cincinnati Enquirer). On hindsight -- wish I would have sent this one...

"It seems to me that the article “Iraq Report Culled from Other Articles,” published on Saturday Feb. 8 <2003>, was not displayed prominently enough. After all, this same article was one of the International Headlines in the New York Times, and the information it reveals about the current research about Iraq that the British government recently published.

With a President who is all but threatening to attack Iraq “within weeks,” and a Secretary of State who praised this most recent report on Iraq from the British, it would do us all well to know that at least some of the material in this paper is several years old – not “current” by any means – and this paper, strangely enough, did not acknowledge the sources used to create this document. In fact much of the information in this report was from magazines, not current intelligence personnel experience. In any case, burying this article on Page A9, without ANY reference to it in the Front Page or A1 side bar shows how important it is to the Enquirer to make sure that its readership is informed. "
