1. My husband and I were just talking about this.
I remember VN news coverage vaguely, but it was almost all war, all the time. The independent reporter was so much more prevelant though I imagine there were embedded reporters also. But we saw it, heard about it, and pretty much (thought we) knew what was going on. No more, so if anyone asks me, there's not enough of the bad news to let people know what's really going on.

2. The only good news that can come out of a war;
is when it's over!

4. Here's a copy of the email response I sent to Mr. Scarborough
Joe,
are you kidding me? Any educated individual reading your piece on ABCs news coverage of the war should immediately scoff at the notion that Americans have made their mind up about the war, and about how "necessary" it was. The facts dispute both these claims, as Iraq was not an imminent threath (no WMD), and Bush's approval ratings are lower than any 2nd term president, EVER! You claim that we're aware of the carnage that is being unleashed, go take a poll Joe and ask the average American how many Iraqi civilians have died in this war. I bet 9 out of 10 aren't even close. But, as you say, it doesn't matter because we're making "progress." Joe? What progress, "insurgent" attacks are at an all time high, so much so that Condi asked for the annual report about it to be shelved. How many Iraqi government officials have resigned now Joe? Has the military done anything, anything at all, to suggest that these "insurgent" attacks will not sustain? SHOW ME SOME EVIDENCE, I want battle maps, a copy of the terrorism report in my hand, and facts about what is really going on in Iraq. If they're really making as much "progress" as you claim they are, wouldn't they be chomping at the bit to show to the first news station available, especially when your fearless leader's approval ratings continue to drop. Thanks for nothing,
