Trying to Make FDR look bad Makes Bush Look Worse
Have you ever met the person who hasn't done much with is life and he spends most of it bitching about how other people's accomplishments are just "luck" or "because he knew someone"...

The kind of person who manages to basically look even more pathetic because he/she can't see the reality of their own situation.

George W. Bush is the ANTI-FDR. You see W has managed to do the complete opposite of what FDR accomplished during his presidency.

FDR saw the Federal Government as a tool to make the people's lives better. He saw a way to make sure that no one went hungry and that people could have a retirement, which up to that time was reserved for only those who had enough cash. FDR sought to get the fangs of the rich out of the necks of the working poor.

W sees the Federal Government as a hindrance to the rich capitalists who want to use the American people as their slaves. Although his followers don't believe in evolution, they are staunch Social Darwinists.

There are many other cases where you can see the difference between the two men...

BUT despite the problems that ocurred after WWII FDR and the Allies managed to bring about the end of that war and the destruction of fascism during that period.

W has managed to wage war unneccessarily and now we are all at risk of WWIII with an enemy that really doesn't have a "state" that it is in control of... Using our nation, W has managed to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis for the acts of a terrorist group and he has now managed to make the world less safe and if anything we are heading down a precipitous path.

2. I don't think W can look worse!
IMHO he long ago descended to the absolute nadir. He doesn't rate mention in the same conversation as FDR.

4. Super-rich, redneck, and fundy all hate FDR and love hate talk
Just like they hate Carter and Clinton.
He is playing to his very solid base.
These people are obsessed and working hard to
thoroughly defeat us. (They work together better than we do
and they work much much harder.)
And, if you haven't noticed, it is working.
He seizes more power by the week.
Seems to me we have a real problem on our hands.

5. You can bet they are working 24/7 to fix the next elections

What are we doing to repair the election system?
If they use the nuclear option they will own the courts and things will get much much uglier.
I can't imagine what the future holds for this country.
