Rant: Why the hell isn't Martha Stewart in jail?
The terms of her probation say she's supposed to be under house arrest. She has clearly left her home to go shopping and for publicity. Therefore, she has violated her probation. Why is she not in jail? They were debating this on the news last night. What's to debate!?

1. She is allowed out
to both shop and work.

Jeepers, who did she murder to produce this kind of reaction?

5. OK. My mistake. I remember hearing that she wasn't allowed out,
but I guess I'm wrong. I don't really care, but I was a bit curious.

2. Because she probably didn't break her probation
Let her probation supervisor make the determination. That's the law.

3. Bush Inc. (all of them) lied and they go rewarded. Martha tell a lie to
fed guy and goes to jail. Let her be. She has more than paid any dues that were due.

4. Because...
she's Martha Stewart? Let's ask the more important question: Why isn't Rush Limbaugh in jail?

9. No, the MOST important question is..
.. why no one in the * cartel are doing the perp walk or any of the crook businessmen they are associated with or any MSM enablers.

Martha is small cookies, and is allowed out like, 20 hours per week, but all the * crime syndicate motherf#@kers who murder and destroy lives..

6. She's allowed out 40 hours a week.
I'm sorry. I know you were serious. But, I had to chuckle to myself about the outrage. Martha Stewart must not be unleashed on society! Think of the slovenly housekeepers!

7. Many who violate their probation are not put back in prison.
In fact, I would bet most. It depends on the previous crime, and the nature and severity of the violation, and how all that is viewed as coloring the convict's prospects. Stepping outside of boundaries is viewed as less serious than, say, getting back into drugs or alcohol, exhibiting violent or predatory behavior, and associating with other felons.

Let's get real, here. If you're familiar with the sort of folks who most commonly go through our penal system, Marth Stewart doesn't hardly rate.
