Mostly I have ignored this story since it turned out it was simply a Runaway Bride - but I was a little curious on how it was covered locally so I read the Atlanta Journal Constituition - and I ran across this snippet. This was after the groom learned she was alive but still believing it was a kidnap/rape. So what do you all think? Maybe I'm being a little harsh - but I'm so damn sick of these people airing their laundry in public and our tabloid media. It was like Jennifer Wilbanks had come back from the dead.
John Mason stood in the front yard of his Duluth home Saturday morning almost giddy with excitement. Hours earlier, the fiancée who had vanished three days earlier called to tell him she had been kidnapped to New Mexico.
But she was alive and well.

At the Fox News tent, Mason turned into a groupie. "When's
Hannity going to come down to see me?" he asked before gushing when a producer told him soon. "Oh man, that'd be awesome."
A couple of journalists were still waiting to talk to Mason when friends abruptly pulled him from the tent and rushed him into the house.
