1. Well....

To say that Iraq had nothing to do with it would be incorrect. The situation in the Middle East has changed recently and pressure was on them to pull out from every side. Syria does not have the finacial ties to France and Germany like Sadaam has so they could not even get their backing. Heck, even France told them to get out. Syria made a bad decision and now they are paying for it. No big loss when you think about it. Lebanon has little value.

6. Syria and Lebanon had already arranged

a timetable for Syria to withdraw their troops years ago. Bu$hCo had nothing to do with it, except to start making demands after the fact.
