2. Bush Is Like Lincoln

Lincoln trampled all over the constitution and civil rights all in the name of holding the Union together. Suspending the writ of habeas corpus is one example.

He kept Maryland in the Union by arresting the secesh state representatives.

In western states (Illinois, Indiana) he arrested some potential Democratic candidates for the 1862 elections and there was voter intimidation to keep Democratic voters from voting.

And I think at one point, angry when Supreme Court chief justice Taney questioned the constitutionality of some of the Executive orders and decisions, Lincoln almost had Taney arrested. Guess he was pissed about judicial activism.

So, I think Bush and Lincoln do have stuff in common....

You know. . . ever since I saw Fahrenheit 911, that question has had me perplexed. In photographs, his eyes consistantly appear to be blue. But usually on the tube or in that film, they appeared to be brown.

I even started a thread about it back then. Only conclusion anyone came to was of the "blood sucking, baby sacrificing, shape shifting reptilian illuminati," conspiracy ilk.

So who knows?
