1. Nope..

Because it would be the first step in complete control over the Internet (I'm sorry, President Bush, InterNETS). They want this to control leaks such as Gannon, DeLay, and other scandals the corporate media could care less to report.

2. Right. I'm only asking because an op-ed in the NY Post suggests

that some liberals want to regulate blogs with the FEC, and cable with the FCC. As far as I know, the only ones known for supporting the regu;ation of the Internet, entertainment media, or the like, are conservatives (or pandering DINOs--that means you, Joe Lieberman, and you too Hillary Clinton)).
