Why don't people get it...
Edited on Mon Apr-18-05 04:12 PM by libertypirate
we can't play team politics when they own the umpires.

We have to hit both teams long and hard to make things right. This means attacking our own people who vote badly seeing only red vs. blue is how we got here. Ignoring the colors and going after the criminals is the only way for America to win.

1. some do....
certainly bipartisanship voting is the solution to achieving our goals. too many are getting hung up on colours instead of achieving goals - the same goals that constituents desire.

2. bipartisanship voting like
Voting for the bankruptcy bill? Or bipartisanship voting for the likes of Rice and Gonzales? Or bipartisanship voting for the Medicare bill? Or bipartisanship voting for the ILLEGAL Iraq war? Where have those bipartisanship votes gotten us? Which of OUR goals were achieved?

Welcome to DU, BTW. :hi:

3. post-wing politics
thanks for da welcome!

don't look at it so much as "our goals" vs. "their goals." i don't think that many people are staunch reps. or staunch dems. many people just latch onto a party that reflects the majority of their opinions. so the constituents of a given area might well support a Dem. representative, but encourage support for a large number of Rep. initiated bills.

i think (or maybe hope) that the day of the hardline partisan politics is dying.
