'Moral Values', the most immoral thing America has ever seen
Bush is the President because of Moral Values in the minds of many people.

'Moral Values' became a concern of the People after the Persecution of Clinton, I once made a chart of it. People became concerned if the religious and moral beliefs of their politicians coincided with their beliefs.

Are we supposed to care if Politicians are in tune with our moral beliefs?!

I'm a Muslim, and I know I am never going to see a Muslim for President. Does that mean that I am going to sit back and whine and cry just because none of the values of the Candidates match mine? No! (BTW, I am a Pro-GLBT, Pro-Woman Liberal Muslim)

We need to get the focus off of moral values, Romans back in the days of the first organized government did not go around campaigning their values! Nor has it ever happened anywhere else at any time.

This is why we are having a hard time getting rid of Tom DeLay, he is a crook, but because he is a 'moral' man in the eyes of way too many people we may never see him actually get punished.

If Nixon was President when 'moral values' was around, he could have pulled out the 'moral values' and he could have remained President, and Nixon was actually more moral than the Republican Party today!

The whole nation needs to get off 'moral values' and America Politicians need to start running the country again. And, when people commit crimes, they are punished regardless of the morals that they may have. America needs to remember that and that is why we must get off of 'moral values'.

1. "Moral values" has become a catch phrase for the
Republicans to get exactly what they want--total dominance of this country. And they invade my sense of morality every day.

2. I agree with you.

I must admit that I wonder whether the US will ever have a pro-gblt, pro-woman liberal President, let alone a Muslim one. The way things are going, the US will self-immolate before that happens.

(Yes, I'm a little bit discouraged today, I admit.)

3. The "moral values" bs really has GOT TO GO.

Has anyone read the latest Mother Jones? The cover article, "Reclaiming the Moral High Ground," articulates this much better than I ever could.

4. I'm glad you said "in the minds of many people."
because so called "moral values" are not the reason * is pres.

My sense is that it is best to make our own traditional Democratic values crystal clear and stop taking the bait of the RW.
Unfortunately when some Democrats keep voting against the common person on issues such as bankruptcy etc., it is hard to present the party has having a strong set of principals or values.
