Huh? Tom "bugs for brains" DeLay retracted his threats to judges? Why don't I believe this?

________________________________________________________________

edited to add: "(Justice) Kennedy and (Justice) Thomas also emphasized the need for more security at the high court, in part to protect against threats to the nine justices and others in the court's marble building.

"The court's proposed budget of $66 million for next year includes money to add 11 police officers to the court's current squad of about 130. One new officer would assess threats made against the justices.

"Thomas said he believes the Internet has helped critics of various rulings incite anger at the justices. Explaining why he thinks that the court needs more police officers, Thomas said, 'I think we have been on borrowed time for a long time.' "

Edited on Thu Apr-14-05 12:22 AM by nadinbrzezinski
he was going to go for Congressional review of Greer and others involved in the shviavo case.

It was a record setting flip flop.

Here, have some  this is getting hysteically funny, and whatever you do... keep the book of Proverbs AWAY from Tommy, yuo know the pride that precedes the fall... it is in there... it is biblical, he may actually (not really) get it

13. In all seriousness, it's very real . . .
.
In all seriousness, it's very real . . . threats, that is. DeLay is so damn mentally dysfunctional that he doesn't understand that such words may incite others to harm judges? Particularly at whom DeLay is directing such inflammatory incitefulness? Extremists? Armed? And ready like the mentally defective Rudolph who bombs innocents, young and old?

2. Reminds me of "Blazing Saddles".
When the little old lady says to the black sheriff, "sorry about that 'up yours, nigger'".

3. Is the Thug in the WH distancing himself from the Thug in the House?
"DeLay backtracked as White House spokesman Scott McClellan said President Bush considers the Texas Republican, who is battling ethics allegations, a friend, but suggested that the majority leader is more of a business associate than a social pal."

I expect him to be gone in a month or two for good. Hopefully. Unless something else pops up and they need him. Anything is possible with these people.

"I said something in an inartful way and I shouldn't have said it that way and I apologize for saying it that way," DeLay told reporters.

14. You bet someone got to him....
Reid, Pelosi, Stabenow and Hoyer held a press conference today and I believe this is the direct result of their actions.
