All you lurking freepers and DUers - Listen up!

The New 9/11 (only worse) brought to you by OPEC.

Here's my theory:

Only a theory, but if you look at gas prices recently, you will see why it has merit. I think some Iraqis had some kind of an OPEC meeting and told all the other ME countries that what happened to their country will happen to them. I think these VERY clever people then proceeded to devise a new, gentler, kinder (LOL) "attack" on the US. No, not WMDs...ha ha...but the sole purpose is to bring the US to its knees by charging outrageous prices per barrel (in Euros of course). That is their "weapon" and ironically we will be beaten down by what * wanted most - oil.

There has been discussion here already about the dire ramifications of high oil prices. These ramifications will be systematic and pervasive. As oil prices increase ALL industries and everyday activities that we take for granted, but sustain us, will face a major meltdown. Case in point: If you are a trucker or travelling salesman, your job is gone bec it will be costing you more and more.

And as it was previously mentioned here....take anything, take ANYTHING that needs to be shipped and we have had it.

With the increased price on oil, everything will sky-rocket! Food, pharmaceuticals - no more shopping at malls. Remember the US imports far more than it exports so the "landed" price for any materials kill us.

We will be "hoisted on our own petard."

All bec * wants to take over the world and its oil.

I don't want to hear the lame remedies like drilling in Alaska and California. Hardly any oil and we wouldn't even "see" it for years. Google for the FACTS if you don't believe me.

I think we are headed for a real old-fashioned depression and the real reason Condi was all over the place during the last 2 weeks was to wield our so-called power. No negotiating here. Remember how she had "concerns" about the oil pipeline that Iran and India want to put together - no, we weren't "invited to that party." That's when I first caught on that something was awry and had to fixed soon. *'s polls are plummeting bec people are "catching on."

Yup, that's my prediction and I don't really see any answers that do not involve nuclear weapons w/ these thugs.

The sun is setting on *'s empire even as we speak. And to think many were laughing at Al Gore and alternative fuels. Who's laughing now?

I would like to see some comments on the extent of this pervasiveness. (e.g., higher education...oops, no $...stuff like that).

Payback is hell, espcially when your beloved country is turning into a Banana Republic (and I don't mean the store..LOL).

For Sale: Biological Weapons; Nuclear Weapons; Hummers
Best Offer (we won't need them anymore)

edit: forgot about Al Gore.

1. There is a variety of views inside OPEC
The Saudis want to moderate oil prices, fearing that a prolonged oil spike would lead to some combination of demand reduction or alternative energy technologies, that in turn would undercut their future revenues. The Saudis also have taken the lead in holding back prodcution capacity or bringing it online to swing the price. This partly is because they have the largest reserves, which also explains the long view they take.

In contrast, Venezuela is a price hawk.

Interestingly, no one anymore thinks we're going back to the $28/bbl target price.

2. Not out of the question - This could explain some of the high gas prices
I still think the bu$h's oil buddies are helping the situation by taking the American people for every dime they can.

3. We had a 500BB budget surplus when Clinton left office.
Five years later, we have a $500BB deficit. Bush/Cheney = Big Oil interests.

They stole the Treasury surplus to keep us from developing an alternative/renewable energy economy. They've kept us dependent on ME oil and we are paying for that oil in American blood. They've taken all options off the table.

They are traitors to this nation.
