This is normal?
Edited on Fri Apr-08-05 02:52 AM by Neoma
When you see hypocrisy, sexism, racism, discrimination, homophobia, murder, slavery, torture and many other bigoted ways and call it "normal". (Most religions actually encourage these things..)

Of course these attitudes are not new, in times of war i find the leaders cowardly for not wanting peace.

I find judging people by looks and sexual orientation as weak, they cannot cope with differences.

I find murder and slavery and torture cruelty to the most extreme.

I also find that the people that thinks it normal, promotes these attitudes.

So why find it normal?
just because its been around forever?
No i do not find these attitudes normal at all.
I find them as evil.

So now i ask, is being evil considered normal?
A question to think about.

3. I guess so, but the real shocker is:
I was talking about most of the United States attitudes as in considering it normal. (the people we consider wackos)

4. Evil is not normal
The 'christian' Right defended Apartheid, they called Bill Clinton a murderer, they say women are inferior to men, and they do the same with other Religions.

The 'christian' Right isn't alone in sinning against God and humanity. The RW of other Religions commit the same crimes.

Every time a Religious/Spiritual person goes Liberal, no matter what that person's religion is, God always says "Yay!".

6. OK
War isn't natural.

Whenever there is a warmonger, there is also a war-profiteer, and it can be good for the warmonger to promote war, because eventually the money and power train will come back to them.

So, when the 'religious' Right promotes war and violence, it isn't because of some higher power or love of humanity, it's all about the almighty $$$.

9. I just checked out the link you have in your comment line...
I think I know a website that you would like. Their's a bunch of weird (but fun) stuff at this guys website, (open the drop down menu near the top), it's almost all really twisted humor.

I cant remember how I found this website, but the part I found is at the second link, It will tell you how good or evil your web site or web page is.

Here, check it out:

This is the Main page, but it's a bit confusing.

11. It may be normal. Perhaps that is why Jesus came and gave
humankind THE WAY to prevent the atrocities that humans are capable of. Perhaps he realized that man was inherently flawed, and needed rules - and the fear of an afterlife, to keep him in control. Judaism does not have the afterlife Christianity depicts.

PS - I am an Atheist who believes Jesus was a very wise and empathetic person who was trying to save man from himself.
