Crystal meth/military
I read somwhere that soldies in WW II used to take crystal meth and it was supplied to the by their governments. The reason it was given was so that they could fight all night wih no sleep. Does the government still do this now? My friend in the navy says it does. I think that is really interesting. Can you get some good weed if you get shot in the ass or someting?

2. The govt. demonizes weed
but they will give their pilots speed to fly all night. and alcohol is their drug of choice, makes them aggressive and mean, got the fighting spirit then.

3. This is totally believable
Why a lot of suspicious bastards might ask what your source was or where you read that information but not me! I'm happy to take this information at face value, because it just seems so believable!

5. I had a friend.
Haven't seen him in a lot of years. Ex-Special Forces. 3 tours of The Nam. Golden Knights Jump Team. Decorated. Once, one hairy guy. Now? Well, let's say he mellowed.

He used to do spooky stuff in Nam. He would go out into the bush, in Nam, for long-range recon missions. He would be equipped with sterile tiger stripes(hammer and sickle painted on the ass), an AK, Rice, Nuoc Mam fish sauce, a bottle of tabasco and a bottle of Black Beauties(Biphetamine Hydrochloride, a mixture of Amphetimine and Methadrine). A big bottle that was pulled from medical stores.

These days, the Air Force flyers have their "Go" pills.

War is an unnatural act that makes people do unnatural things in an unnatural way.

6. Not "meth," but dexedrine and benzedrine.
The Army and Navy issued benzedrine to pilots during WWII.

The Armed Forces still issues dexedrine "go pills" to aviators and special operations personnel, and "no-go pills" to make them sleep after missions.

11. no-go pills = ambien
colon bowell asked, "isn't everyone taking ambien?"

it's a hypnotique, you can pass out while still being up and about.

8. A well-known secret
The military has been experimenting with "vigilence-enhancing" drugs for decades. And our military isn't the only one -- the militaries of all nations have studied it.

Marijuana, though, isn't in favor in the military. Spies used to feed psychedelics to people they wanted to question, but once they found out that they were fun to use, began taking the supplies home for personal use.

Coffee and tobacco remain the drugs of choice for most soldiers.

10. In my service time
we never ever got such things. As divers we sometimes got a shot of whiskey when we were working in cold conditions.

Who would want to be doing dangerous things with a hopped up dope head anyway?

Would you?
