Let's see if it really happens. Seating is done by protocol and has to do with the length of time that a country has had diplomatic relations with the Vatican (I think). Still, the Holy Father had a great sense of humor.

diplomatic protocol where I've worked, to assign priority based on length of relationship, or length of tenure of the ambassador, depending.
