Question: Working Class Union?
Think about it. A Union for working class people that is an organization to inform the working class which corporations are hurting them, which politicians vote against them, and what events really mean to them.

There is really nothing out there for the working class that puts information in quick and easy to understand terms for them to understand who is helping them and who is really against them. Sure, Labor Unions may reach some people, but unless you are in a Union, then a lot of information does not reach you.

Would an organization like this take off in today's America or not?

Any ideas about structuring such an organization to benefit all of the working class?

Can you imagine a large national organization of all working class people putting pressure on politicians and corporations?

1. I like this idea
Maybe we can stop giving away rights to corporations who use those rights to continue to exert control over us: broadcasting, pollution, etc.

The Wobblies- the International Workers of the World. It's the best idea in terms of trying to unite the working class. Our problem will be (or is) that so many working people don't think they are part of the working class. One of the wars we constantly fight is for the perceptions people form in their minds. The ruling class has enough money, influence and resources to have successfully planted the idea in the heads of many people that to be part of the working class is somehow bad.
Face it, as a friend of mine once put it, you are either a worker or an owner. There is no in between...............

I think. And I thought the AFL-CIO was working on a thing a couple years ago where one could become an 'associate member', i.e. pay a yearly dues and be part of the organization. I think that is possible - they just don't spread the word on it much or well. And, well the IWW does still exist, in fact they have a website out there somewhere. Of course the IWW was/is never shy about Marxist frames on economic and political realities.

>>edits for spelling and typos, and it still might not be right!!

4. the ruling oligarchy in america has systematically decimated ...
... all unions, groups, institutions, etc that are for the benefit of the working class. The propaganda is now so ingrained that americans are afraid to say "worker's union" in polite society unless it is to trash them.
