Is our country so self-absorbed that we don't pay
attention to the other countries in the world--and is that why * is able to do at random what he wants without much ado? Is our ignorance, hedonism and glutony going to be our downfall?
I find it curious that all of the world papers and citizens were as anxiously awaiting the results of our elections as we were. They knew the candidates, they knew the parties, etc. They knew the issues.
How many people do you know that know of the upcoming elections in Great Britain? How many can tell you the parties and the platforms and the candidates?
I think the majority of Americans believe the hype that we are the most envied people in the world, and I wonder if it isn't turning into the most pitied people in the world.

2. Many foreign countries were interested in our elections
because they knew the threat of a B* Administration better than we did. They have real media, and they knew the facts. They had seen what 4 years of B* had done to foreign policy and global economy, and knew the ramifications of 4 more years of this imperialistic thug.

3. Unfortunately, this is not a new phenomenon...
... We have never (collectively) looked past our own borders----actually we are very selective about what we "look at" within our borders, too.

4. In agreement
But, we have never had a regime that was willing to parlay our worst trait into their gain.

6. Exactly, *'s cabal counted on us remaining blissfully ignorant...
... and "we" did not disappoint.

5. And thank god for that!
I am one of those Canadians who hope you (meaning USians) completely ignore us. Then we can ignore you. Nothing personal. Sorry.

7. Not taken personally at all...
You have much to be proud of and protect. Just wishing you could absorb a few more of us but fully understand why you can't (and shouldn't). Too many of us were too complacent and allowed this cabal to buy the government and all the puppets they needed to turn this country into the kingdom of another King George. A lot of us don't deserve this but enough of us do. I'm a senior citizen with no living decedents but am intending to stay and fight in whatever way I can.
