Schiavo question for those who've been watching TV news
I have a question.. I realize the TV coverage of Schiavo slowed down a bit after the weekend. How much TV coverage has been given to Terri Schiavo's death yesterday?

Is it a similar saturation to the amount last week? How does it compare to the Pope and Johnnie Cochran? just curious..

1. It was nonstop

I was watching MSNBC in the evening, and even countdown did away with their normal format, and just focused on that and the pope. After countdown was continuing "live" coverage.

It will still be going on a while, with Delay saying we need to consider completely overhauling the legal system and impeaching the judges.

I expect them to drag it out until the next election. This is their next gay marriage.

2. It was a wall of coverage
I wouldn't be suprised if there is some marketting vulture somewhere right now comtemplating a 24hour death watch channel.

4. Yesterday, early afternoon, the media attention shifted...
after FOX "News" truly jumped the shark and hired a helicopter to follow the medical examiner's 2 white vans (transporting the body and the medical team), something really weird happened.

All 3 cable news networks began to talk about the media's role and whether or not their coverage had been skewed heavily in favor of the Schindlers and their spokespeople.

Hm.

Obvious answer: Yeah!

Then, the pope 's health captured their attention, and the Schiavo stories were fewer and farther between.

They did, at least, cover Michael Schivo's attorney's lengthy press conference.

Lots of canned segments were aired and the question about "Terri's Legacy" was put forth about every quarter hour.

A scant few reporters actually mentioned that 82% of Americans don't want government interference in their deaths.

Weird day to be home watching TV "News."

5. I only get CNN thankfully
but they have become the death channel....all Shiavo or the pope dying...all the time. Pitiful if you ask me. If I didn't have the internet I wouldn't have a clue what was going on in the rest of the country other than this. They aren't even news agencies anymore in my opinion, just prolonged reality shows.

6. Huh, what, who's Teri Shiv?
I mean, it's been over 20 minutes since they mentioned her, I can't remember a thing. :SARCASM:
