But you can't alter what will happen, but you will see what really happened.

For me it would be November 22, 1963, Dallas Texas, The Texas School Book Depository on the sixth floor.

15. Mine too
I just finished reading "The Woman with the Alabastar Jar," which is a very intriguing and well-researched book (pre-dating the DaVinci Code) about the possible marriage between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. This book posits that Joseph of Arimethea spirited the pregnant Mary out of Jerusalem after Jesus' crucifixion/resurrection because her life and the life of her child, were in danger.

I really want to know if that's true.

10. no fair!!
Only one? No fair.

The premier performance of Hamlet at the Globe Theatre might be cool. Rumor has it it got bad reviews.

I'd love to see what the pyramids looked like right when they were built... covered with limestone that reflected the sun they were visible as shiny beacons for miles around.

I think a trip to North America in 1491 would be interesting. To see what this place looked like before my ancestors showed up and starting bollucksing it all up. Just have to make sure I wear a hazmed suit so my germs wouldn't wipe everyone out.

But if I had to chose one this is what it would be: Scientists know that what is now the Mediterranean was once a great valley, lying below sea level but protected by the surrounding land. At some point, millenia ago, the great levee that is known as the pillars of Hercules (the Gibraltar straits) broke and a massive, inexorable flood poured in, wiping out everything in its way and continuing for years and years until Africa and Europe were separated by seawater. I think that first moment (no doubt a terrifying one) would be fascinating to observe.

12. Aug 6, 2001
The day Dubya got the PDB on Bin Laden. But only if I could carry a video camera. I wouldn't want to witness what I'd expect to see if I couldn't return with proof.

Otherwise, I'd like to see some dinosaurs. Or the Big Bang, though I'm not sure it's possible, since there wouldn't be a vantage point outside the singularity.

It is so full of intrigue, drama and romanticism. She reigned for forty years. Apparently was very smart and surrounded herself with very smart others.
