1. I'm so glad I don't live in Penn
Santorum is such scum!! I've never watched him before. I wish David Gregory would call him out on his comparing Michael Schaivo to Scott Peterson. What a :puke:

3. I used to live in PA. Santorum has very few supporters.
I moved a long time ago, so I don't know how he keeps getting re-elected, but I've heard from friends who still are there that there are lots of people really pissed at him for a variety of reasons.

18. who needs votes when Diebold is a "major contributor"
and the exit polls are discredited by the most furious campaign of lies in recent history?

I think there will be more and more election "anomolies" as time goes by and we fail to regulate the election machines.

5. He missed a good follow up opportunity with Santorum
When Santorum referred to Ms Schiavo as "the least among us", Gregory could have asked how the cuts in health care for the poor square with Santorum's concern for "the least among us".

But, yes, Gregory is doing a much better job than Tweety's bespittled polemics.

7. I agree....David Gregory deserves his own show, preferably
replacing Tweety. We need to email MSNBC to let them know the great job he is doing. (I wonder if DG makes more $$ being the Whitehouse reporter?)

17. indeed--I'd pitch in 20 bucks if it would help get rid of the TBird
he is a total lunatic. David G does a much better job, and seems to enjoy playin "hardball" for a change--he doesn't get to do that too often in the WH press corpse!

8. I completely agree
He doesn't hold back from challenging bullshit when its spoken ... by no matter what side.

He shows no indication of backing down from a simple demand for actual truth. In view of that, he won't last.

9. Why is the screamer from the Catholic League
blaming this on 'the Democrats'? Didn't we pretty much stay out of the whole thing? I must have missed something. Did someone from the Dem party suggest removing the tube?
And why, when David Gregory turned the topic to the Pope, did this guy switch back to Schaivo?
They've all gone completely round the bend.

15. I didn't see the show but from your description i know exactly who you
are talking about, it's Bill Donohoe. Let me give the playbook here:

M$NBC booker "Yes hello i need a counter balance to todays show, hmm, oh yes a screamer full of faux ooutrage would be just fine, thank you"

16. Yes, that was him. Thanks.
I tend to block people like him. Defense mechanism, I think.
You didn't miss much. Scream, lie, scream, lie, etc...

10. I'm really enjoying Gregory too.
IMO, he wouldn't want Tweety's show...that would be a demotion.

As WH correspondent, he's on NBC every nite, broadcast to millions.

Cable News gets ratings in the thousands.

Also, because he's so good, he may get promoted on NBC; maybe anchor someday.

Cable News is filled with hacks is the decision I've come to...people who couldn't be employed elsewhere.

I like David......when he gets the chance he asks real questions to bush........isn't he the one who can speak French and bush made a comment about it?

13. Absolutely right. I had forgotten...
Maureen Dowd writes:
"After NBC's David Gregory asked Mr Chirac, who speaks English, in French if he would like to comment on a question he'd asked Mr Bush about Europe's view of America as imperious,Mr. Bush had a petit fit.
Very good, the guy memorizes four words, and he plays like he's intercontinental, he said sarcastically as a bemused Mr Chirc looked on...
There is something bizarre about watching have a hissy fit because a reporter asks a legitimate question about European angst and talk to a Frenchman in French..."

Sorry, no link. From Maureen Dowd's "Bushworld".

14. I doubt that! I do agree though, we should all email MSNBC. Link

This is supposed to be the contact to the producer of Hardball. Send them a quick note about David Gregory.
