Johnnie Cochran, Cell phone and Brain Tumor. That's all I can say.
When I place my cell phone next to my headphone cord there is a SERIOUS BUZZZZ. I can tell 3 to 5 seconds before the phone rings or 3 to 5 seconds before I receive a text message or email.

there is something to this Brain tumor cell phone thing

1. Put a cell phone next to your PC monitor
My monitor goes crazy about three seconds before the cell phone rings.

Some heavy duty waves of some sort going on there.

2. Yep me too
If I have my cell phone next to the computer, the speakers go nuts a few seconds before the phone rings.

and did dozens of other things we all do.

We go through this everytime there is a 'new' product on the market.

It's always always 'gonna kill us'. :eyes:

TV's, microwave ovens, video games, computer screens...

Then it doesn't.

7. It could just be that they are diagnosed more frequently now
I don't know if years ago a brain tumor would have been picked up on before the invention of the MRI.

They do seem to be on the rise (from my vantage point anyway)but again, were they always around, but just weren't correctly diagnosed?

5. My father died of a brain tumor
Right behind the right ear, just where he would hold a cell phone assuming he had ever used a cell phone. Tumors DO happen for no good reason and, as far as I know, there has been no explosion in brain tumor cases since cell phones became popular. I suspect that Johnnie Cochran, like my father, died of glioblastoma--most often seen on older men and very deadly.

6. My father died of a brain tumor
He never used a cell phone in his life... but he and his boss set up one of the very early cadcam programs (and his boss died of a brain tumor too--how weird is that?)

I sometimes wonder if we should just move away from our monitors.

To clarify... I have no scientific basis for this (because I just know someone will call me a crackpot and will then flame the ever loving crap out of me)

All that aside it does seem like brain tumors are on the rise over the last few years -- or maybe I just notice the news of them more because I was personally affected.

I wasn't a big Cochran devotee per say... but trust me, that is a very rough way to go!

8. I know a young girl who died of a brain tumor
She was 3. Somehow I doubt she even knew what a cell phone is.

and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

10. My mother died of a brain tumor that was located in her left frontal
lobe. She never held a cell phone in her life, let alone near her frontal lobe. She never liked television that much, so she never sat close to it, she never used a microwave and the closest thing she came to using that was like a computer was an electric cash register.

She did read an awful lot though! :freak:
