Poll question: Would you sign a living will and hope it never needs to be enacted?
Or would you prefer to be kept alive by artificial means, even if you were 'brain dead'?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

1. I already had one, but have updated it since the Schiavo case.
My new one say "Do not use ANY extraordinary means of life support, and do NOT insert a feeding tube!"

Never put it in, you don't have to argue about it's removal!

2. I Have a Progressive Disease That Will Kill Me
Edited on Tue Mar-29-05 08:02 AM by REP
At some point, I will be kept alive by machines (dialysis). Potassium imbalance is a threat I live with every day now. Damn straight I have an advance directive, etc, to make sure that my brain-dead body is not kept alive.

Edit to add:I only wish there was some way to legally keep the pro-lie vultures away - with extreme force if necessary. I don't want terrorists like Randall Terry anywhere near me, brain-dead or not!
