3. Yep,
This will also distract from their desire to get judges, like C. Thomas, who do not recognize "stare decisis" which is the very definition of "activist", only THEIR activism, as opposed to what has been established through precedents.

8. i think we need to confront them directly
in this case.

adopt their argument cept use their free programming to SPOTLIGHT their activist judges.

actually their are a lot of issues that this double reverse would work.

5. Myth of liberal judiciary
There are more judges appointed by Republicans
than by democrats:

877 Total positons

42 vacant

203 Dubya
131 Bush Sr
113 Reagan (Republicans controlled Senate from 1981-1987)
4 Ford
5 Nixon
Republican Appointed =456

348 Clinton
30 Carter
1 Johnson
Democratic Appointed = 379

7. I hope Dr. Dean has been thinking about that
I really hope Reid has been thinking about it because the Repugs have been planning this for a long time.

The fact that repug judges made decisions in the Terri mini series is moot.

Just wait till Judges are blamed for every sexual assault ever committed by a convict.

It will be irresponsible judges handing out liberal sentences that caused these assaults.

19. yes indeed
also a little off topic but....

I think the Dem response to the Terri mini series was brilliant.

'Living Wills'

Are lawyers not heavy Dem sponsors?

Well they must be loving the flood.

Even Repugs are touting the importance of them.

Very clever.

24. agreed
and your right about the xtra bonus.

i think we need to ride on the coattails of their SIMPLISTIC marketing campaigns to highlight THEIR real 'issues' but in this case by pretty staying out of the spotlight cept to point out reTHUG pandering was definitely the best course of action for the short term but i am wondering - out loud - a little bout the long term programming.

29. They are more like SEDITIONISTS, but that distinction will be lost on some
I'm more than willing to strike back...no wimpy Dem here. Unfortunately, I don't run a media outlet, so I'm forced to voice my displeasure here; email/call my representatives; and email the media and let them know what corporate shills they are.

13. Ask them to prove why they activist judges...
If they actually do the research and discover the facts, they will releaze that these "activist judges" are actually using the laws that are on the books to make their decisions.

It's easy to say a judge is an activist, or a doctor is cruel, but it's difficult to prove it.

Tell them to prove it.
