Crystal Clear

Having just finished an article detailing all the roll back of consumer protection, labor laws and equal protection under the law, that has been accomplished by big business in the last three months it is crystal clear to me that the only recourse you and I have is to

STOP CONSUMING.

We can no longer trust the business man and his product. If we are injured we are denied access to legal redress. No matter that we have been wronged you and I are required to pay for the product, no matter the economic consequence. The only course of action for a rational person is to

STOP CONSUMING

We no longer can expect fair treatment from our employers. The labor laws that were in effect for the last half-century have been discarded. We are now subject to the whims and caprices of big business. Only if we can reduce our standard of living can we escape, the thing to do is

STOP CONSUMING.

To sum up where you and I are at this moment in history, we stand alone against powerful economic forces that have purchased both the Republican and Democratic Parties. We are not represented by any political body. Our government is nothing more than a commodity that was purchased by the wealthy and entitled classes of this country.

Only if we stop buying can we bring this system down. If we do not bring the system to heel it will consume us.

STOP CONSUMING.

1. The only new stuff I've bought since 2000 is FOOD.
My clothing is either homemade or from a thrift shop. I have not bought a new computer. I have not bought CDs, DVDs, or any consumer electronics. I've used compressed air to blow the crud out of my 20 year old receiver to extend its life a little longer. My truck is 15 years old.

Screw the consumer economy. I decided to starve it to death when Bush cheated his way into power. I won't support it until he is GONE, preferably to prison.

2. Change only requires one person to make a commitment
The commitment that you have made is far more than most would be willing to do, talk seems to the ultimate commitment.

If we are to survive it will require sacrifice of instant gratification. You have thrown off the chains that bind the masses and insure their slavery.
