Dems in FL...strike while the iron is hot!!
Draft a bill for universal health care for all Floridians. Call it "The Terry Schaivo 'ALL LIFE IS PRECIOUS' Bill"! Fund it with a special tax on Jebbie, Poppie et al! Guarantee cradle-to-grave coverage, including long-term care and heroic measures. Time to fire back at these Right-Wing Fundie Hypocrites!

4. That's what the Dems in Washington
should be doing. Universal health care for everyone with that name on the bill.

6. I agree.
Let a private and personal issue become a private and personal issue.

But go ahead and use the Republicans' language against them. There's plenty of ammunition lying around.

10. Call it the "Culture of Life Initiative".
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 07:04 PM by RubyCat
It would prohibit hospitals from disconnecting life support against the family's wishes when the family no longer is able to pay the medical bills. Repeal the law bush signed in Texas is 1999.

It would also give lifetime healthcare for veterans who return from Iraq with traumatic brain injuries.

You sell it to the fundies, and they'll do all the work forcing the republicans to go along with it.

The fundies were looking for payback because they believe they were the ones who got bush re-elected. If they get rebuffed one more time, they are going to go bezerk on the republicans.

The republicans backed by the hospitals, hmo's, etc, will want to fight it, but how are they going to say "no" to their religious base?
