14. Yes
If you have to pay for it though, depending on the prices, I wouldn't go if it was outrages. But then again that's just me. You might learn something new about a plan or something. Never know. :)

remove you. I think that's what I'd do.

11. I don't know
I asked where it was and what it cost, he said in D.C. and the cost
"was yet to be established" he wanted to play a recorded message for me but when I told him "I'd never give that worthless sack of shit a dime" he hung up.

39. email - a 2300 person list of folks working in pensions and Soc Security
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 05:03 PM by papau
So I am "special" in that someone put me on that "interest" list!

I think they actually expect more than 2000 to have a meal with Snow and hear him speak.
=========================================================

on edit:

Now you made me actually click on the link to see what it was all about!

Seems Treasury Secretary John Snow ("leading the Bush Administration’s efforts to reform Social Security, pension funding, and the federal tax code") will give the luncheon address at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 for the American Academy of Actuaries members who wish to attend.

So the 2300 names on my email are only a part of the invite since there are 15,000 in the American Academy of Actuaries.

But I still feel special! :-)

10. Go
My Father who was involved in liberal politics, often went to Republican parties when invited. Not to show his support mind you. But to show the Conservatives what an ass' kicking intelligent Democrat could do. Go and speak your mind.

13. GO! You know the things we see
are only the tip of the iceberg. I have often wondered what it would be like to be a fly on the wall at a Bush event, ever since Fahrenheit 9/11 where Bush spoke to the "I call you my base" people.
Just make sure you shower before and after ;)

95% sure it was White House, as "honored guest". I'm sure it's just stupid fund-raising but the point is, Why me? I've NEVER been called at work for political stuff.

31. So did my boss...
who's as left-leaning as Lenin's left arm.

One time, I got a letter with invitation, telling me how good a donor I had been and for that I would be invited to a fundraising BBQ with * and Dick Cheney...

I never donated 1 penny to these warmongers... but I kept the invitation for a good laugh!
