Would you describe the battle in Fallujah in these terms?

A Marine friend of mine does, and I'm pretty flabbergasted by it...

Fallujah (a battle that history will soon reflect upon as one of the greatest examples of Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) since World War II...and perhaps the best example ever of American forces engaged in such an endeavour)

1. If you can be proud of carpet bombing a city with banned weapons

then Fallujah is your "best example".

2. Faluja was the election-theft getaway car.

The invasion was timed to coincide with the election. If Kerry had stood up to protest fraud, Rove and co. would have labeled him a freedom-hater who puts our soldiers at risk. The re-count movement would have died right then, and Kerry would be dead politically. Kerry was too smart to fall into that trap, but nothing has been gained to show for it.
