"The secret word is....." C R I S I S "
Every freaking thing is a CRISIS..
ANWR is a CRISIS...
Social Security is a CRISIS...
Energy is a CRISIS...
Liberal professors on campuses are a CRISIS...
Medicare is a CRISIS...

The fearmongering is starting to really get to me. Things that are REALLY crises are totally ignored or blown off in some simplistic manner.

The ONLY way that republicans get anything done is by appealing to the scaredy cat nature of ignorant people..

They see bogeymen everywhere and yet when a REAL problem needs solving, they are too busy looking for drugged out baseball players.

Has there EVER been a real problem actually SOLVED by republicans? As far back as I can remember, Democrats have always had to clean up their massive messes, and get little credit for it.

1. And real crisises...
Bill Clinton tried to battle Al Qaeda, which was becoming a threat.
RW'ers accused him of 'wagging the dog'.

The Economy and our staggering Trade Deficit aren't problems according to the RW

Health Care is in a state of real Crisis

The Environment is in a state of real Crisis

Our relationships with the rest of the world are also in Crisis.

5. The problem is actually DEFINED by them
I heard a clip of Shrub last night talking about how his message that there is a problem with social security is finally getting through. Note that his focus is on defining that there is a "problem," what the "problem" is, and how he's going to "fix" the problem.

Meanwhile, dems are getting savaged for saying that there IS no problem.

6. You're right-Dems should make * be very specific about
what the "problem" is. So far * has said the "problem" is so vast, only getting rid of Soc.Sec. can "solve" it. AFAIK, Dems are saying Soc. Sec. can be tweaked, rather than gotten rid of entirely. I guess my point is that * says "fix" when he means "eliminate."
