Democracy in the Middle East is a Bad Idea for Right Wing America
Edited on Tue Mar-08-05 04:03 PM by louis c
This notion that the present US government is succeeding in toppling dictators in the Middle East and supplanting them with Democratic leaders is foolish and dangerous.

In Iraq, the leading party is the called the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, taking their name from the same group of Shiites in Iran.

In Lebanon, the leading political party is the terrorist group Hezbollah, again Shiite dominated and linked to our supposed arch enemy, Iran.

It escapes me how it is in America's best interest that people who have overwhelmingly hated us for generations should get to vote. If they do, good luck to them, but why should Americans pay for this in blood and money?

1. Remember
these are the same people who seriously thought we would be out of Iraq in "weeks." They just have no clue and no plan beyond wishful thinking. Just think of it as "Faith-Based Foreign Policy"

2. Yes.
Peace in the ME and a successful EU are not in the best interests of the United States of America.

IMHO

3. The vast majority of the people in the Middle East hate our guts
with polls showing anti-US feeling is around 90%+. If they do go 'democratic' they potentially could create more carbon copies of repressive regimes like Iran's. Remember, Germany democratically elected Hitler...

doesn't give a damn about democracy in the ME. They WANT war and chaos. The want the entire area destabalized which will lead to an attack on Israel and subsequent US involvement - giving them an excuse to obliterate the entire area.

5. Recommended reads-- "THE PETROLEUM-POLITICAL COMPLEX"
1. House of Bush, House of Saud : The Secret Relationship Between the World's Two Most Powerful Dynasties by Craig Unger
2. A Century Of War : Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order -- by F. William Engdahl

and Google on "Sykes-Picot"

They want the access to oil stabilized, they want "oil hegemony" and they really could give a flying fart about Israel or democracy -- except to assure access to and hegemony over oil.

Only the sheeple believe that they care about democracy or Israel.

It is called the PETROLEUM-POLITICAL COMPLEX
