1. If the status quo of the 50's and 60's remained to this day...

I believe we would be known as the Republican Underground. Not all Democrats in those days were like that either. The split I think came when believe it or not, Jerry Falwell and his ilk began the the Christian Right.

2. Then George Wallace joined the American Independent Party to run against
the Democratic candidate for president. While Nixon, the Republican, started his "Southern Strategy" to woo Dixiecrats over to the Republican Party based on racist policies.

3. First Texas Republican Lily-White Primary
A way to buzz the dear little ex-Dixiecrats' efforts to co-opt the now-extinct progressive wing of the Republican Party would be to remind them of the pre-Civil Rights era activities of the various Republican Party establishments in the former Confederate States.

Before the McKinley era, Afro-Americans could and did rise to positions of prominence in the Texas Republican Party, but Republican Party activists in the 1890's put the kibosh on that by instituting "Lily-White" party primaries, where no persons of color could run for office as Republicans.

That date needs to be researched and noted when dealing with today's Rethugs.

4. Now THAT's some REAL Pravda for you!
The amazing Orwellian-ness of it all. Wallace would today be a rabid Bushevik. The Dixiecrats such as he left the Party years ago, many after Ronnie Raygun signalled to them the Reppublicans were the Party of Lee, not Lincoln, in Philadelphia, Mississippi 1980.

I wonder if those Orwellian Monsters are taking credit for the Civil Rights work of the 60s, carried out by "Northern Liberal Hippies" who are the mainstay of Today's Imperial Party.

The scary thing is: Orwell may have been right and these NewFacts, like so many other absurd Bushevik Lies, may become "facts" to millions.

They have laundered many worse lies into Conevtional Wisdom before. I see no reason that, after 3 years of blanketed self-reifnorcing Nazi-style Propaganda (ironically directed towards laundering the Untruth that Busheviks were responsible for the Civil Rights movement when in fact they comprised the KKK and other murderers...and still do, though the KKK became the CCC and joined the Busheviks)

Perfidious. Maddening. And both Goebbels and Orwell were right in that it will likely work.

I hate them as the Jews hated the Nazis...for identical reasons (lucky us...these Kinder and Gentler Nazis aren't violent...yet)
