4. I'm in California where 90% of our gas comes from here and is refined here
and it's almost never under 2 bucks a gallon.

8. I went out this morning,
a gas station with a prominent sign gave a price of $1.89 a gallon.

On the way home two hours later, the price was $2.15.

Thanks Georgie.

Fuckhead.

10. that will learn you to not fill up your tank
when you had the chance.

I gather the gas station operator has to price the gas not according to what he or she payed for the gas in the storage tank, but what the replacement gas would cost.

I keep fantasizing about getting a battery-electric car. It's supposed to cost about $5000 to convert a VW Golf or the like to lead-acid battery power; it can go on the freeway and has a 50 mile range (maybe). Costs $1000 per 10 miles to extend the range.

11. I would love to be able to afford something
more fuel efficient.

My old beater (our only vehicle) does not get the best milage, but is needed to pull the horses around.

There is one truck stop between home and work that never seems to do the rapid price fluctuations, I try to do my stopping there. Today they stayed at $1.87.

9. Just imagine how bad things would be without...
all of those "short-term stimulus packages" which are now known as permanent Ownership Society giveaways.

12. Its really sad...
that GM STILL has not come out with a hybrid vehicle yet, while Toyota has been offering a hybrid for the last 6 years. American automakers deserve whats coming to them. (bankruptcy)

taught.
