Why do we have to be labeled far left or far right, whatever happened to compromise. There is no in between anymore, that is what is wrong with our nation today.

"Your either with us or against us" is the mantra on both sides now days. Our country has become split, and that my friends is how the BFEE, neocons and corporatist want it.

Divide and conquer, it makes things much easier to control, fuck them, I will not buy into it myself.

I will remain a free thinker, and not be controlled like a puppet on a string.

Her passion for veterans issues runs deep, and one thing that no one can argue with.

I will probably be flamed for this, but I do not give a big hairy rats ass.

I am a moderate, a veteran and fiscal conservative, I am also a FORMER Republican

I despise George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and their entire Neoconservative administration. They have hijacked this country for personal gains.

I vehemently oppose this illegal, immoral and unjustified war for profits.

With that said, I have also been posting on DU for several years. I became a registered Democrat here as well.

It was because of the patience and tut-ledge of many old timers that I stayed. I have had threads and posts deleted, because of the passion of the moment.

There were those that looked on me with suspicion and thought that I was a freeper troll or a plant.

Still there were those who accepted me for my insight and perspective from the other side.

I have been attacked by freepers here,(my pseudonym is like a lightning rod to them)and have sent many of them down in flames.

If anyone wants to flame away, have it, I am here to stay and you are stuck with this middle aged white southern male F150 pick up truck drive'n old veteran, who considers himself a moderate.

Because I want my country back, I will continue to fight to make our nation a great place for ALL free thinkers.

I will continue to fight for the Democratic Party, it was the big tent theory that brought me here. It was the lockstep, my way or the highway attitude, that drove ME away from the Republican Party.

4. I won't try to flame you and it's fine to be a republican but this is

really a dem site and you should expect dem's to be less tolerant of repubs who try to pass themselves off as progressives. If your a repub who thinks the party has gone to far right just state that but don't expect the true dem's to buy into your belief system. Everyone here needs to give this a rest. There has been too much posted here where the posters should have thought on for a day or two before hitting the POST MESSAGE button.

All this choosing sides garbage has got to stop.

What is going on now reminds me of second and thrid graders telling each other, "If you are going to be friends with so and so, you can't be friends with me," ridiculousness.

DU gives us all a tremendous souce of information, news stories that don't make the mainline press, social interataction, and resources that most of us would not have without it.

This little tempest in a teapot is threatening to polarize the board just as our country has been polarized. It will diminish DU and any influence DU has.

I suggest that there be a moratorium on any more threads or comments on this subject for a week or so while everyone tries to put life, DU, and the latest contrempts back into perspective.

7. Like it or not, in one breath she claims to support vets

in another, she not only participates on conservative boards, but participates and MODERATES on a board where they teach people how to troll here to make anything that might look bad on this site look worse.

Her own words on those boards have been the ANTITHESIS of what she posts here in MANY MANY circumstances.

She's entitled to her opinion, but I think we deserve to know which one is the real one...the progressive one that did not support this war and feels for the grunts...or the one that is helping, literally promoting the party that took advantage of all of these troops.

On edit: As for your participation here, you have been nothing but consistent. She on the other hand reminds you of the person you find out has been living a double life.

8. i dont need to flame you, and i am a conservative

but............never would i go to an opposing board and diss individuals and the group as a whole. that talks about character of the person. simple. not a person i respect. they have the right, but i dont take that childish behavior seriously, their message is lost. there were a lot of people here that bonded with vet. vet was often coming in telling her family woes, adn people were emotionally connecting to this woman giving her love. it went beyond just an anonymous poster. it was a friend to many. and later they find vetwife posting ugly comments about them on another forum to laugh joke and diss them. that is hurtful

there are other points that could be made, but surely if you cant see the basis of betrayal, then............well hey we can go further

btw in my conservative, i have never had anyone label me freeper, and for most part welcome and discuss. this is why i dont go to the du bans, du limits. they do not. they have allowed me my conservatives views, generally almost always in respect

i in turn respect that. and feel a loyalty to the people and administration, and value this
