Why is the head of the Concerned Women of America a man?
It does not make sense. You almost wonder how ligitimate that group is. :wtf:

3. Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?
I don't think that necessary makes them illigitimate, but it certainly must wilt their power at least a little.

10. Hey - I like that one, Stop_the_War!
I watched a news segment on Tim LaHaye, and his wife, Beverly. She was sitting by him, looking at him like he was God (and he was a little ... nevermind).

Beverly founded CWA (or "LaW - ooh..I don't like the way that acronym works out).

Anyway, Beverly believes that we women would just be happy if we didn't bother with those ol' college degree things, and stayed at home, fawning over our men.

From Bob Jones University, no less.

Edited on Fri Feb-25-05 01:58 PM by kgfnally
Naw, you're right... that acronym doesn't work very well.

How about Ladies against Females? LAF.

:D

Oops. I hit the wrong 'reply' link. :hangover:

5. They're a legitimate player on the religious far-right
The founder of the group, Beverly LaHaye, is the wife of none other than Rev. Tim LaHaye, a Christian dominionist who is the force behind the "Left Behind" books series. LaHaye was also the co-founder of the "Moral Majority" with Jerry Falwell.

7. I've noticed that, too!
Are the women of that group so busy being barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen that they don't have time to be concerned enough to lead?

9. Their spokesman is a man--as Jon Stewart pointed out!
But their founder is Beverly LaHaye, wife of Tim LaHaye, co-author of the "Left Behind" books. They're alumni of Bob Jones University & powerful among the fake "Christians".

CWA was founded to battle the Equal Rights Amendment. Check their website to catch the stories soon appearing in your letters to the editor. And repeated by the more credulous media sources.

"Why can't we say Merry Christmas" was a big hit for them, quite recently.
