Just in case someone cares, three more US soldiers killed today in Iraq
Mentioned just in passing on the morning LOCAL news. Haven't even seen or heard anything on the cable channels.

My heart aches for the families of these soldiers.

4. There is more coverage of Micheal Jackson & the oscars
than these casualties. It is sad and bewildering. Our sons, daughters, and the Iraqi people are being wounded and killed, & the headline is Micheal Jackson.

5. Of Course There Is
The corporate media has already been issued it's talking points.

The Pope
Michael Jackson
The Oscars

And anything else that has little or nothing to do with the continuing fighting in Iraq.

6. Of course we care.
Personally, I feel overloaded with so much tragedy and want to unload by focusing on doing whatever is within my own personal power to advance the battle against the neoCONspirators.

7. It not folks around DU ignoring the news of causalities
Edited on Fri Feb-25-05 10:39 AM by havocmom
It's the alleged news sources ignoring the news of causalities.

Might be good to write them and ask why they hate our troops. Might be good to write the WH and ask them why they ban showing coffins on the news.

edit for typo

8. It is a good time to write letters - lots of letters
I'll use this weekend to write all the major networks, WH, etc. I want to know where the outrage is - Why the crap news about Michael Jackson when our sons, daughters, & Iraqi citizens are dying? The 3 major headlines on one of these morning shows was: the Oscars, Michael Jackson, and the Pope - Bless the Pope, but I need to know about this horrendous war going on in Iraq - Where is the outrage!?!!???

9. I have written so many e-mail to news outlets I am fatigued. That's
the reason I say "for those who care." It seems none of the media care. I never even get a response back except for those automatic messages acknowledging receipt of e-mail.
