Does right-wing radio replay their shows as often as Air America does?
I understand Randi is out, but it upsets me that there are all these "Best of" Shows. I mean all the time. Replay, replay, replay.

1. It's about funding.
It'll get better in a couple of years.

2. Did ever watch
cable when it first came out. 80 % of the time you got a blue screen with a schedual of what you could watch that night. Air America will get better the more people they get to tune in.

3. Usually they do it only on weekend or holidays.

But I haven't listened to "hate" radio lately and listen to either streaming AAR when I'm at a computer or download AAR previous day programming to play on my iPod while in the car with a cassette adapter or FM transmitter.

4. Remember When OxyRush Was Drying Out...
there was a whole slew of local 'wannabe' Rush's that have local shows on conservative talk stations that they brought in to fill in. They have an intrastructure that we just don't have yet.

5. I was wondering the same thing today...
Every Al Franken show I started to listen to this week has been a replay as well. The Best Of Randi is fine by me, it is understandable that she is out and that they have limited personnel to cover for her. Too bad the Ring of Fire boys (Mike Papantonio and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.) aren't available to cover one of the weekdays for Randi.

7. No
I used to listen to Slanthead. I thought that the sign of a mature intellect was to be able to tolerate opinions to which you are opposed. When he was away, any number of lesser-caste right wingnuts would guest host. Eventually the bullshit wore me down and I listen to America Left on XM without caring what the other side says. They were trying to do the same guest host thing with Randi, but I guess the talent pool is thinner? I have no idea why. There are tons of progressive people that would be proud to take 3 hours to talk about what's on their minds. I don't know why it's not being tapped and they resort to repeats instead.

9. forgot to add
Many would be proud to do it for free and live in the area. So funding shouldn't be an issue.

8. No...
They get guest Host's, which I wish AAR would do. I don't listen to reruns, talk radio is supposed to be up to date, that's what makes it interesting. I can understand Randi being out and I think they have done a pretty good job about it. AAR is to young for the amount of reruns they use. Joe Conanson would make a good fill-in for Franken.

11. There are some great locals on the Left
I have seen a few on C-Span for example. I recall an excellent lady in Philadelphia. There's also Thom Hartman, and no doubt more.
