CNN Fake News Alert: Photos of Nuke Plants in Iran and Korea are SAME pic
Ok, here's some fake news from CNN.

This is bigger than Rathergate as it does not require an obscure knowledge of fonts and typesetting from the 1970's to spot the forgery.

CNN provides photos of Nuclear plants in Iran and North Korea...but on closer examination, they have used THE SAME PHOTO in both cases. Now either Halliburtion is building identical 'tract nuke plants' in Axis of Evil countries OR CNN is terribly sloppy AND/OR they are passing White House propaganda that is as poorly produced as that photo-shopped pic of * with the soldiers that came out during the campaign.

Here's a link to the analysis and it includes links to the pics and the stories:

1. I think I'm blind
I don't see the similarities. I think I need more visual aids.

3. Can't argue with that.
Typical. Whenever the N.K. nuke stories come on, they alway show the same eerie looking control room with the ominous technicians. News is all such a con these days.

"New Rule: The news networks must update their stock footage. Are you ready for the evening news, everybody? Hussein shooting off his rifle; Osama with his finger up; money being printed; that machine that sorts cigarettes; terrorists on the monkey bars; money being printed; Osama shooting his rifle; the F-14 taking off; obese people in America and monkey bars. I'm Dan Rather in New York, good night! "

5. CNN already corrected this
This was discussed on DU last week. Apparently the online photo editor posted the wrong photo. CNN acknowledged the error.

10. Nope...
Wrong imenja. It would appear to have been much more than just a "simple error".

I posted several updates to this story the next few days after the first one that someone has linked here again...Check 'em out:

11. it's odd though
considering Bush is intent on refusing to acknowledge that North Korea may even have nuclear weapons. They insist those who claim they have them don't, yet seek to prove countries that don't admit to having them are stockpiling WMD.

12. Odd indeed...
...But I'm agnostic as to what they may (or may not) be up to.

The idea of keeping folks in fear works just fine for their agenda, however. And if there's nukes, nukes, nukes, everywhere, all the better to keep folks frightened and obeying.
