Pat Robertson threatens Frist over judicial nominees
http://www.advocate.com/new_news.asp?ID=15172&sd=02/17/05

Evangelist Pat Robertson indicated Tuesday that if Senate majority leader Bill Frist expects to receive the backing of religious conservatives for a possible 2008 presidential bid, he had better get President Bush's judicial nominees confirmed by the Senate--or at least voted on. "It is the ultimate test," Robertson said at the National Press Club. "He cannot be a leader and allow Democrats to do what they did in the last session."

6. Why is Pat Robertson still alive?
That overproduction of bile should have built up in his blood and killed him years ago.

10. Good question....
Why did take so long for Strom Thurmond to die? Why could we never get rid of Jesse Helms? True evil never dies....

7. Pat Robertson is such a tool...
He has absolutely no clue that he's going to rot in hell for his blatant greedy profiteering from the pockets of fellow Christians and his power mongering over others by exploiting their ignorance to instill fear allowing him to achieve his own agenda.

I just wish I could pull the plug on those unscrupulous phonies at TBN.

13. Yep, I've made this prediction several times here...
cheney* will step down in a year or so and bush* will appoint Frist as the new v.p. so he can have some experience under his belt when he runs in '08.

15. Falwell made the same threats repeatedly on Crossfire
Edited on Thu Feb-17-05 04:31 PM by Democrat 4 Ever
yesterday. I posted a thread about his blatant threats to both repugs and dems if they didn't toe the line. That must be the talking points for the repugs this week.

I just wish Falwell and Robertson would crawl back under their rocks and leave the world alone. Don'tcha know the repugs have got their tit in a wringer with those two?

Even though Jesus was a politician, I don't think he'd be supporting quid pro quo actions like that.

18. "Let the Democrats do what they did in the last session"????
The Dems blocked 10 of Bush's 208 judicial nominees!!!

Poor Harry Reid keeps saying this over and over whenever the Repubs accuse the Dems of bringing the judicial system to a halt with their "obstructionism".

Good grief.

19. heh...I love threads like these.
Pat Robber actually thinks the Hyenas in Washington care about him and his "cause". Little does he know they're just using him......for a double-bonus of votes, and legitimacy.

It's really just a ruse. They're the most un-religious group of people ever. They just like the cover of religiosity.

By the way, what's the story on Ole Pat. Does he own a diamond mine in Africa, or is it a gold mine?

Such a principled man.
