2. Its a fake news show

Not a comedic version of the real news. What Jon and crew focus on is what the "real" media is poking around in and mocking their antics. Should the Gannon story really break and the MSM tries to sweep in under the rug I would expect to see some interesting facial expressions on Jon. But till it rises to the surface fully I don't think they will pick it up.

11. It's not a news show

I caught one of the shows last week during their break, and it was from a few weeks ago. They did a Gannon joke, before it was cool to make a Gannon joke.

It's a comedy show. The Gannon thing isn't taking down the empire, but if they get to it, they'll get to it. But if they don't, so what?

They haven't done anything on the 52 warning before 9/11 either. I think that's far more imporant than Gannon.

Just laugh. The Gannon story isn't the magic bullet.

Maybe they're just storing up the information and waiting for a night where there isn't a whole lot else going on.

Or maybe they've just got so much material once they start they won't be able to start.

If they don't do anything this week I'll be really concerned. God knows this is the fattest slow-pitch softball ever put into Stewart's wheelhouse.
