Double Whammy!
Discovered this morning that my wife is pregnant (our first!), and that I had been laid off from my job.

I'm about to puke.

DU, send us your good thoughts please.

8. Yikes.
I'm guessing that the job market in OK isn't that great. Is moving a possibility?

How many other Vonnegut fans do you run into in OK? I actually just reread SOT recently. Now my 17 year old son is reading it.

9. Actually,...
you might be surprised how organized the liberals are out here; the Unitarians are growing like wildfire. I guess in tough times, people of like minds tend to stick together. I do in fact run into other KV fans from time to time.

11. Go ahead and puke; then collect yourself, and kick ass.

You know what you have to do; do it.

13. The samething happened
in my marriage but it was during my second pregnancy. It turned out to be a positive for my ex did procure an excellent job. His loss of job did not cause our divorce, we had many issues.
Just give your wife lots of hugs.

I am a firm believer of the saying "when one door closes another opens." You will get something better.

What is your occupation?

16. Celebrate the joy of knowing there will be a better tomorrow
My hubby was laid off while I was pregnant-- It was very stressful. Make sure you continue to support each other. I will pray for you and your wife. BTW, Congratulations!
