10. We Need To Develop Alternative Media

Hate Radio is just one wing of this Giedrah-like monster known as the right wing spin machine. Tune to a Christian stations and give them a listen...especially the ones that feature "Christian Rock" like Air One and The Fish. Listen to their codespeak...see how messages are delivered...and all on public airwaves.

There's ways more Progressive voices can be heard. Check out your local college radio station. Some already have Progressive programs or are looking for people to volunteer to help with the station...your doorway into the studio and behind the mike. I know, this doesn't reach many, but you have to start somewhere.

Another suggestion is to get a group of local people together and buy airtime on a station. There are many that will gladly take the cash and as long as you don't violate FCC rules they can't censor what you say.

Saying "No" to ourselves is yelling into the echo chamber. We need to get these messages to people in the most convenient and accessible ways possible. We have to destroy the filter of corporate media and have our voices heard or face even darker days.
