A friend's last e-mails and voicemails from the WTC - Need guidance
A friend of mine was at the WTC on 9/11. I have a couple of e-mails he sent me that morning and a recording a voicemail he left me. I haven't done anything with these things because... well, just because. I guess I couldn't face dealing with his death and the way he died. Anyway, last night my partner suggested that it would probably be good to archive these documents in some way so that they aren't lost to history. Does anyone know of any reputable projects that are collecting such things? Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

2. Not a bad idea, thanks!
I appreciate it. Most of the time I don't think about it, but the FAA story brought it up, and my partner is right, electronic documents can disappear and the tape of his voicemail is already degrading.

4. Does his immediate family know you have these things? Contact them.
They may be able to guide you.

5. Yes they do.
I shared everything with his mom and his girlfriend. His girlfriend wrote me last 9/11 and said she'd just finally listened to the tape of his VM. She said he sounded much calmer than she remembered him sounding when he called her, and she said it made her feel better. That's a good thing.
