6. My guilty confession: I used to call them "Freedom Fries"

Early-on, before I knew better, I was mad at France.

I didn't yet realize the depth to which our country could sink and just how deliberately and blatantly they could deceive us.

Worse yet, for a long time, there was still a TINY part of me that thought France should have stood by us even though we were wrong because they "owed us."

Now, I kind of wish I were French. Except for the whole not-showering thing.
