That's why "move on" takes so well.
I posted a poll yesterday to probe Duers sensitivity to accountability for the humongus violations this country has witnessed and endured over the last 10 years or so. To the point that it reaches the proportions of an Orwellian scenario.
Just 121 views and 33 votes... That's a big part of the problem right there. Americans, even leftists, actually "move on" and "get over it". Like there's no concept of history, a big arrow of time that everybody follows in a herd, like there's no memory.
That makes us ideal suckers for manipulation.

1. I have just stopped clicking on poll threads
The novelty wore off after a couple of days

I did read the thread that compiled a bunch of the poll threads

out of curiousity.

Limited time and too many threads to read them all

2. I would also suggest that nobody at DU has 'moved on'
Else why would DU even exist?

3. A poll on DU is like...
asking your live at home kids if you're a good parent. Waste of time unless you need an ego boost at the moment.

4. I don't usually click on DU polls
so bear in mind that your poll results are not scientific, and not representative of the DU population as a whole :-)

6. I know that. And I'm not whining. But there still is

a tendency to give priority to future-oriented issues. And to let go of history which seems to be very typical of America. Which would contribute to explain the current mess... It's like trying to explain the water to the fish.
