GOP Stringing Right to Life Along: Report Miscarriage or Go to Jail
Edited on Wed Feb-02-05 09:20 PM by McCamy Taylor
I am not kidding Buzzflash has a link to the legislation that has been introduced in Virginia. I guess that state's GOP has already squeezed the parental notification/consent and the injury to the unborn fetus issues all they can, and now they are being forced to come up with new, creative legislation to convince their Right to Life base that they actually give a rat's ass about overturning Roe v Wade (something the GOP will never ever do because it will get Democratic women out to vote in droves). The legislation just keeps getting weirder and weirder and the money these states have to spend on the court challengers just keeps piling up. Man what a racket.

The gist of this one is if a woman has a spontaneous miscarriage even if she isnt sure she was pregnant she has to report it to police within 12 hours and answer lots of personal medical questions including her name or else she can be sent to jail for a year.

1. I live in VA, and as far as I know, he withdrew that
About two weeks ago. Per my delegate, it's not planned to be reintroduced this session.
