This Morning's Press Conference - The Smirk
I could hardly control myself this morning while watching Bush's press conference.

Did anyone else notice how Bush's face did emotional gymnastics...

You can read exactly what Bush is thinking at any one moment. Whenever he was asked a difficult question, he would give that "how dare you ask me that" kind of look. On top of that, he is so cavalier about this war. I find nothing humorous about what is going on in Iraq. How can he demonstrate such callousness?

Can't anyone on the right see what is going on here?

I'm mystified...where is the outrage???

2. It was OUTRAGEOUS.
we are borg, so protest and criticism are futile, but that fucker pissed me off more than ever today. He didn't have the decency to even ACT like he cared about the soldiers. FUCK HIM.

Thanks for posting this, I wanted to start a thread on this, but thought it might be seen as silly to be even more offended than usual.

3. I am outraged....
But it seems a large portion say 49% just doesn't care. I am sorry to say I have become more apathetic. Let them learn the hard way.

4. You should see his look when asked about the New Yorker/Iran...
"Are we invading Iran Next?" question was asked this weekend.

Maybe he was laughing at the idea that he actually "Read" the article. What a Dork :puke:* is.

If your up at 11:30pm tonight, they show it on the "Daily Shows" replay of last night's show. (Comedy Central, 11:30pm EST)

6. Only heard the weasel on the radio. I couldn't stand to actually
look at him. It is actually revealing to just listen. He uses the facial shit and hand gestures to distract the audience from the idiotic content of his replies, in much the same way a cheap magician does slight of hand. The stammering, halting, repetition of bromides and "motherhood" comments make for a stupefying experience every time.

7. There is really no point in listening and...
Raising your blood pressure. You could have more intellectual dialogue from Paris Hilton.

8. Oh, but on Radio, they edit out all the "I can't read good" pauses
Ever notice that? He almost doesn't sound stupid. During the "Weekly Radio Address," they edit out all the "I fried my brain Drinkin' in the 70's and 80's" pauses. :dunce:

I almost think Radio is MORE manipulative that T.V.:freak:

10. Only the live ones, where he keeps filling in his inadequate
illogical responses with "ya see, in otherwords" and proceeds to repeat what ever he just said. These reveal his true stupidity.

The saturday ones have been subjected to the Eventide "time squeezer" process to remove the halting and stammering. The processing makes them sound compacted and tonally compressed.

12. Try turning off the TV.
You can read what he says on the web, you know, and it's just as horrifying - even without the stupid face and annoying voice. I'm getting to where I can't even stand to read the news stories anymore. He's never going to say anything true or worthwhile, so why bother?

14. His words and his gestures are never in synch.
Watching Bush do a press conference is like watching a badly dubbed movie. His gestures rarely coincide with what he's actually saying. Sometimes he smiles (begging for agreement, I think) when he finishes a statement on a serious topic. And then, when he spouts a batch of perfectly memorized statements, he zooms into evangelical zeal. Then stops short. And don't even get me started about what he actually says....
