Did anyone get that really odd Zogby interactive poll?
Edited on Tue Jan-25-05 04:58 PM by imenja
I did them throughout the campaign, and they asked about who I was voting for. I assumed this one might ask who I voted for and how I felt about the election. It did ask about my vote, but most of it was devoted to questions like: how much will I spend on valentine's day? Should a woman send a man flowers? What sort of chocolates would I prefer to receive? And a series of silly questions about internet romances.

What is Zogby up to now and who is paying him?

1. I got it.
Yes, very strange. But definitely, dark chocolate!

2. I'll keep that in mind
I would have preferred a selection of all three kinds of chocolate, but, in typical pollster fashion, was not given that sort of democratic choice.

3. It was weird.
Voting, valentines day, influential African Americans (alive and dead), JFK assasination conspiracy theory, Roswell conspiracy theory, Men landing (or not) on the moon conspiracy theory, and they finished off with exercise and dietary supplements!

Weirdest. Survey. Ever. :wtf:

4. that's right
I was trying to remember the other odd stuff that was in there (I did it late last night). The moon walk and JFK. Who cares? How about he asks about how we feel about that spectacle of a coronation and this insane war we are in.

12. I didn't finish it.
I quit when I got to the question about "how old were you when you had your first sexual experience". I decided the whole thing was just too weird at the point.

21. Yea, like maybe there is a correlation between that and
if you would vote for Bush.
I think they kind of threw in questions about an election in the beginning as a deceptive practice to get people interested in politics to answer these other stupid questions.

5. I think they're doing "prescreening" to determine
which section of Gitmo you'll be shipped to. Saves them time when they check you in.

8. LOL
You might also want to try to let them know brand names, if you have preference. That way, they might make a notation that you're cooperative and you might (fingers crossed for you) get a pillow.

What's weird for me is that I am signed up to take Zogby's polls but I haven't gotten this one. Not yet at least.

of what kind of chocolate to leave on that pillow?

10. Maybe they've got a non-political client?
Edited on Tue Jan-25-05 06:40 PM by Shopaholic
And do you think that they'll offer us a choice of chocolates when they round us up and ship our liberal butts off to
Gitmo?

And I've noticed in the past that Zogby sends out their surveys in "waves" over a couple of days, typically.

14. Sounds like an omnibus poll...
Zogby offers this low-cost service where they will lump your questions together with those from other clients into a longer poll. 911Truth.org took advantage of this service earlier this year to create the Zogby 9/11 poll of New York state residents, which found that 41 percent do not believe the official story of September 11. I can imagine that the preceding questions were about toothpaste, suddenly people are being asked if they thought the government deliberately allowed the attacks to happen...

15. I usually respond to Zogby, but
I gave up on this one when it appeared that they were equatin the term Romance with Adultery. The questions containg the word romance preceeding that point were then unclear in their meaning, and so my responses could not have been correct no matter what they were. I thought it more a psych test than a poll.

I thought the conspiracy theory stuff was interesting. I bet there will be a press release saying "More Democrats believe in conspiracy's than republicans."

18. They Might Be Trying To Find Out If Kerry Voters Are Conspiracy Buffs
If that's the intention then you may want to be careful with this poll. The info could be used in a negative way.

I quit in the middle of it-seems very deceptive-they start you off with an election and then go into Valentine day and all that other crap.

23. What happened to Zogby? After telling Jon Stewart that JK to win
just a few days before the election he clammed up.

Oh, that's right only democrats talk to exit pollsters.
