Fasting today and so damn hungry....
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 01:14 PM by Bouncy Ball
I am fasting today. Keeping in mind all those who are hungry, who have no clean water, while the ruling class parties the week away stuffing caviar and expensive champagne and huge slabs of meat down their gobs.

And I'm glad I'm doing it.

But can I just say here, that, damn I'm hungry. It's good, I guess. It reminds me of what some people feel every day.

Not spending a dime, not eating a thing.

Edited to modify title.

2. No one was supposed to.
I just decided to.

It seems so vulgar, all the excess going on in DC when so many are suffering. And many are suffering as a direct result of this administration (Iraq)!!!

5. No. I want to call his wife
but I am worried about bugging her and she's alone with their four and two year old daughters.

I am going to call his mom today to see if there is anything I can do for his wife and kids.

Apparently he had the surgery last night to put in a metal plate and screws in his leg and once he is stabilized well enough, he will be flown to an Army hospital in Germany for further treatment.

Thanks so much for asking!!! :hi: And thank you for your thoughts!

4. I know how it is. You have my sympathy and respect.
All I can say is that after day three you won't be hungry anymore :)

6. DAY THREE????
Whew. Yeah, I noticed the really painful stomach pangs went away about an hour ago. But I have a feeling they'll be back. This fast started at 5:30 pm yesterday.
