i dont know how they did it. white cross against the blue background of the carpet. using the white railing as part of it. they showed it twice. just unreal and doubtful a coincidence.

5. I don't know
THat might be a step to far. Or might be better explained. Because it sounds like you just compared a Cross to a Swastika, a juxtoposition that would offend many mainstream and even liberal Christians.

7. It's not the symbol, but what it's used for
The swastika is, according to a thread here last night, actually an ancient Hundu symbol representing (I think it said) peace and goodwill. The Nazis perverted that.

So, perhaps such a comparison, in some cases, may be perfectly valid; it all depends on how the symbol is used. The Crusaders, for example, did not exactly embody the proper image the Christian cross is meant to convey.

8. and the Republicans have perverted our symbols
the flag, our reputation, honor...put us in debt, taken away money for schools and health care. Your reply above regarding the way the Nazis took a peace and goodwill symbol and turned it around for all eternity to mean the opposite...so sounds like this dyslexic administration.

4. they showed it again
it's not on the main stairway. there's a white railing running up the center of the aisle. definitely intentional.

9. God, He is giving us freedom lovers a sign since we need them
Otherwise, we are not sure HE is there and still loves us (sarcasm).
If you truly believe, why do you need signs?
