Are you going to watch Bush's speech tonight?
I, for one, am not. For a couple reasons.

1. His speeches are boring and repetitive. How many times can he say, "We're making progress."
2. I don't want to see the idiot white house correspondents on CNN or whatever channel saying after the speech things like "Some very strong words from OUR president." (cringes)
3. I don't want to piss myself off.

It'll all be lies. I don't want to put my foot through the screen or scare the snakes. Snakes are delicate creatures and can only stand so much Bush before it puts them off their feed.

To the editors of my local papers right after. I want to use refrences to his speech in the letters, and, of course, I don't know what I'm going to say yet!

but I'm writing everyone right after the speech tonight.

10. A lot of people agree with you.
Poll at CNN.COM - over 25 thousand have voted and 60% say they will
not be watching his speech.

I can't help myself - I always pray during his speech that he
screws up big time. I would sure hate to miss it because our
beloved media surely would not replay a goof! I catch myself doing
stupid things like trying to hex him, etc. He makes me turn into
a crazy person.

18. No, and Yes (maybe)

I'm going to be taping the Showtime propaganda because I'm betting that it will be such an embarrassment that they will never show it again.

I'll check here and (maybe) catch a repeat on C-Span or somewhere.

he's never said anything worth listening to, and I doubt that tonight will be anything different.

Where do I get a bingo card? That might make it worthwhile.

I warned my neighbors months ago that if they hear me screaming "asshole" I'm not shouting at my husband.

because I keep hoping he will meltdown on live national TV.

W's last few media events have been disasters. I think they've hyped this speech up way too much and W can no longer get away with being his usual arrogant, lying, smart ass self and at the same time admit to the American people that Iraq is FUBAR, and that he's going to bankrupt the US in order to pay for his little screw up.

Besides, I love to watch history being made.

The only thing I EVER want to hear out of his mouth is how sorry he is for being the total asshole that he is, and that he has seen the error of his ways, and that he and his entire band of meat puppets in various stages of decay are willing to spend the rest of their wretched lives doing hard time in order to atone for their sins.

Anything else is unacceptable.

for as long as I can stomach it. I've watched enough of his other "speeches," I feel like I deserve some kind of payoff for it. The new Zogby poll shows him with more negative sentiment than positive for the first time since January 2001. I have to hope that he's going to fall on his face tonight and pay me back.
